SURVEILLANCE
Surveillance is the art of following someone for a variety of reasons perhaps
it is Domestic or Criminal, maybe Insurance Fraud or Stalking. Whatever the reason Surveillance is a tried and true measure to obtain information about the activities of
an individual or a group. By covertly following from a distance to observe and record the
events as they unfold. The information that is recorded by an Investigator during Surveillance is admissible in a court of law. The Judge in a court case will take the
word of a Licensed Investigator as he would a Sworn Police Officer. Private Investigators have testified in countless court cases for clients all over the
country. Surveillance is an art and should not be attempted by the
ordinary citizen for reasons of safety and because a court will not put credence in the
testimony of an ordinary citizen. TOP

DOMESTIC
When conducting DOMESTIC surveillance, we look for certain things For example, if its an ADULTERY case we look for TIME,
OPPORTUNITY and INCLINATION and we
document these things for the court, the courts will except an Investigators word as they
would a police officers. If we look at the criteria one by one, we see what is needed for
the court. OPPORTUNITY - This means being alone, say, in a house(preferably
with the lights out) or parked car at the end of a parking lot, or even the office after
hours. Next TIME - This means having enough time during the
opportunity part. Most courts will agree that 15 minutes is enough time. Finally we have INCLINATION - This would be any type of public display, i.e., hugging, kissing,
unusual touching or anything a married person should not be doing with someone of the
opposite sex. Once we have these three things the evidence is there. All three can be
achieved at the same time in some instances, for example, if two people of the opposite
sex are in a hotel room together and alone for even 5 minutes the court will assume they
were involved in some form of sexual activity. Many attorneys will want more than one
occasion documented.
There are other kinds of DOMESTIC surveillance, for example, to see if your children
are doing DRUGS.This kind of surveillance would be handled much the
same but for your OWN INFORMATION and not that of the court. These Surveillance's
would be completely confidential.TOP

INSURANCE
INSURANCE surveillance
is different in that the main concern is to VIDEO TAPE the subject
going about his/her regular daily routine. There is no special criteria, only that when
the subject does something that would invalidate the DISABILITY or WORKMAN'S COMP claim to make sure the camera is running. i.e. Someone with a severe back
injury moving heavy objects freely and without distress.TOP
